Choosing Girls' Ethnic Wear: Lehenga, Sharara or Pattu Pavadai?

Ethnic sets are our most-loved girls' category. The three main styles:

Lehenga sets

A flared skirt with a fitted top — the classic wedding and festival outfit. Heavier work (zari, mirror, sequins) suits functions; lighter cotton lehengas work for temple visits and family dinners.

Sharara sets

Flared, flowing trousers with a kurti-style top. Shararas move beautifully and are easier for younger girls to run and sit in than a long skirt — a popular pick for ages 1–6. Mirror-work shararas are our bestsellers for Diwali and weddings.

Pattu pavadai

The traditional South Indian silk skirt-and-blouse set — the choice for temple functions, ear-piercing ceremonies and classical occasions.

Sizing and price

Most ethnic sets run sizes 16–28 (6 months to 8 years) — see our size chart. Prices typically range from around ₹700 for simple cotton sets to about ₹2,000 for heavy-work sharara and lehenga sets.
